The current theme (green bob) is closely suited to what I hope my final theme will be. In that the colour scheme is close to but not quite blue enough for my liking.
It does however have the right shades of grey and of course black.
I have decided again to alter the “temporary” theme recognising that it has been a long time, since set-up and I have yet to design my own theme. I am however, much closer to a concept, as I have an idea as to what type of font I want to use, it’s relative size and and idea on layout.
I just need to find the time to sit down and work it all through.
Bleak Green 1.0 is the new theme. I didn’t like how Dust-317 aggregated my recent posts to just headings. And not bothering to determine how to modify it, I decided to try a different theme.
I searched through some of the themes on the wordpress site looking for some suitable ‘dark’ themes, but I was a little disappointed. The site was difficult to navigate to find the most popular themes, even then I wasn’t too impressed.
However, the Dust-317 theme has inspired me to create my own. I have an idea or two, in particular if I get my movie, game and anime lists up and running. I intend to showcase them possibly in the sidebar in a dynamic way.
I also intend to add some RSS feeds from my favourite sites, in particular things like xbox-scene, joystiq and downloadsquad.
Finally, inspired by the flickr plugin, I intend to add such a dynamic feature to my main page. I don’t want the start page to be sidelined by the introduction of the blog.
