Two great plugins available for WordPress are the WordPress Automatic Upgrade and the Google XML Sitemaps plugin. The former removes the hassle of upgrading WordPress and the latter creates a search engine compliant sitemap and submits it automatically.

With the overall look and feel more defined, work can commence on new features. The key development is a dashboard with several tools.
The first is a car fuel economy tool, to record the mpg for each refuel. The work will require basic database querying and the integration of off-the-shelf graphing server-side scripts. Therefore, such scripts have to be identified.
Once the initial tool has been set-up, the other tools to add:
- RSS feed reader.
- Personal Spend Tool.
- Suitable security.
- Mobile version of dashboard for over-the-air updates.
That’s it for now.

Although the main elements of the site are in position there are some major items that require attention, in no particular order:
- Finish blog template, noting new URL.
- Tweak colour scheme for blog.
- Tweak colour scheme for main site, and most importantly emphasise the menu. Might require small redesign to bring forward.
- Determine why google does not find ashraf-miah.co.uk.
- Start blogging about aviation.
- Create google compatible sitemap.
I have started to treat this blog as a means of tracking my updates.
